Josh has always had a love of storytelling, making films since he was three years old, aided by the creative inspiration of growing up on a farm in Tennessee. At the age of ten, he won an award at a local film festival for a stop-motion film about chickens, kick-starting an interest in cinematic wizardry that has continued to this day. In 2016, he obtained a BA from Vanderbilt University, majoring in Psychology and Cinema & Media Arts, followed in 2019 by an MFA in Film Production from Florida State's College of Motion Picture Arts, specializing in Directing and Visual Effects. He then worked at Crafty Apes for two and a half years as Compositor and Matchmover in addition to getting some experience as a Set Supervisor. He then worked at ActionVFX for a year as a Lead on their element creation team, which included supervising and directing the production of various elements for their website as well as building out a render farm and pipeline for them. He now freelances as a VFX Supervisor, Compositor, and Pipeline TD.
